Multimedia Message Service

An expansion from SMS. It prolonged the sending of text and introduced multimedia which consists of photographs, sound clips, videos amongst other things. MMS is regularly used to transfer multimedia from one phone to the other.

 

The vast majority of camera phones have access to MMS, as well as phones without a camera. Sending photos is a popular example of MMS, this is where the recipient transfers photographs into a message that sends in an instant. When the technology behind the Multimedia Message Service has advanced it will allow for the transmission of video streaming.
